Senior Scientist | Program Manager | Federal Research & Compliance Leader

Maryah Freeman brings nearly 20 years of experience in scientific research and program operations supporting government-funded biomedical initiatives. She has led cross-functional teams in regulated environments, managing assay development, biospecimen operations, and compliance oversight aligned with FDA, GLP/GMP, ICH, and 21 CFR standards.

Maryah served as Research Team Lead for the National Cancer Institute’s SeroNet program, directing federally funded serology and logistics operations. She also managed a 30-person analytical development team at Catalent/Paragon Gene Therapy, supporting tech transfer and reagent lifecycle management for clinical trial phases I–III.

Currently a Senior Scientist at AstraZeneca, Maryah oversees method development and validation for late-stage biologics in a GMP environment. Her career includes notable contributions to USAMRIID’s Ebola antibody research and operational leadership in both public and private sectors.

She holds dual B.S. degrees in Microbiology and Biotechnology, and an MBA from Hood College.
